Not a Mainah. Yet.

What American accent do you have?
Your Result: The Midland

"You have a Midland accent" is just another way of saying "you don't have an accent." You probably are from the Midland (Pennsylvania, southern Ohio, southern Indiana, southern Illinois, and Missouri) but then for all we know you could be from Florida or Charleston or one of those big southern cities like Atlanta or Dallas. You have a good voice for TV and radio.

I found this quiz over at Boo's blog, and just had to take it.....
But don't kid yourselves, I know I'll never be a Mainah. I'm from away, I'll always be from away, and that's just the way it is. My grandchildren won't even be Mainahs, as the kids weren't born here. Like they say, "Just because a cat has kittens in the oven, doesn't make 'em biscuits."

Apparently I'm from Boston.

Which is odd, as I spent a great deal of my British childhood about 30 miles away from the original town of Boston, out in the Lincolnshire fens.

the quiz says I'm a northeast but I think I'm more an Inland North accent. What Do I Know, eh?

I often have people ask if I'm from Boston. I am a born and bred Mainah though.
