How cool is this? The Library of Congress has compiled a catalogue of color photographs from the late 1930's to 1945. The above is Caribou, Maine 1944, and below is a potato harvest up in The County:
I have to admit that I went looking for some Ohio photos, as well: 
This shot is labeled "Gilead, Oh?" but might be my dad's hometown of Mt. Gilead. An annotation indicates that they are still researching the exact location. You can browse the entire collection here.
