How cool is this? The Library of Congress has compiled a catalogue of color photographs from the late 1930's to 1945. The above is Caribou, Maine 1944, and below is a potato harvest up in The County:I have to admit that I went looking for some Ohio photos, as well: This shot is labeled "Gilead, Oh?" but might be my dad's hometown of Mt.
